LEP Socials allow you to connect with the global community while engaging with the rich cultures of our campus, our city, and our world. We’ve made sure that you have plenty of opportunities to join us this Fall. In fact, for the first time in the history of LEP, we’ll be hosting a different social every week for the remainder of the semester! Our next social will be our first excursion of the semester. Join us on Thursday, 10/28, at 6PM as we attend a performance of The Claim presented by Shotgun Players right here in Berkeley! Described as a “comically absurd and quietly shattering journey,” The Claim follows a man who must rely only on his story in order to seek refuge in the UK. This play forces the audience to confront the challenges and absurdities of the asylum system and ask ourselves if these processes are truly compatible with a tolerant and fair society.
